Next month there are an assortment of exciting literature events going on around Essex organised by Essex County Council Library Services and Arts Council England. There will be book readings from best-selling authors, writer’s workshops and imaginative story sessions for younger audiences. From “chick-lit” to crime fiction, there really is something for everyone.
There are some famous faces amongst the contributors to the festival including authors Jodi Picoult, Simon Brett, and Alexander McCall Smith, Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall, and even newspaper columnist and television writer Kathy Lette.
You may recognise a few other familiar faces as our very own Marina Warner, Philip Terry and Adrian May are all taking part in the festival. There are many events taking place in Colchester, and even on Campus itself, with the ‘Lakeside Writers Showcase’ on Friday 2nd March.
See the website (www.essexbookfestival.com) for the full programme and get involved in some exciting local events!
